Mobility GT - Surfaces and interfaces for sustainable green mobility

Lube.jpgMobility GT is an international, mobility-based career-development research- and-training programme on the tribology of materials, surfaces, and interfaces dedicated towards a sustainable green-mobility future. It is a research platform striving to speed up the green transformation by providing post-doctoral fellows with a diversified training programme, career guidance and academic supervision by the leading researchers.

This international programme has received funding for 24 post-doctoral fellowships. The programme is coordinated by the globally recognised centre of excellence, the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology (TINT) of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).

TINT shall implement the programme along with the University of Leeds (UK), Luleå University of Technology (Sweden) and University of Coimbra (Portugal) – and 50 associated partners from different European countries, mainly from industry (e.g., Volvo, Scania, Oerlikon, SKF, Hidria, Kolektor, Mahle, Cummins, and others).

Together, these four research teams and their industrial partners represent the European Tribos Platform (Master degree programme Tribos+, Doctoral degree programme GreenTRIBOS, and Post-doctoral programme Mobility GT), a unique grouping that has been building a world-renowned network in academic-industry research and training, and setting standards in the field of tribology and surface sciences for almost a decade.

The aim of the Mobility GT programme is to enhance the research potential and career perspectives of outstanding young researchers from around the world irrespective of their age, race, ethnicity, colour, disability, sexuality, or religious affiliation by furnishing a very positive integration of candidates into their new environment.
